Licensed Physical Therapist Duties Include:

• Conforming to a Licensed Physical Therapists guidance while providing support for the Therapy team
• Recording and analyzing the gait patterns of residents can provide valuable insights into their physical limitations and potential for improvement
• The progress reports must be written in a clear and comprehensive manner. Simplicity is key when expressing one's findings. Doing so will ensure that the information in the report is easily comprehensible to all parties involved in the resident's care and wellbeing
• Supporting individuals in accomplishing particular fitness regimens
• A mixture of therapeutic techniques will be employed, including balance and gait exercises, to assist with resident's rehabilitation
• Aiding tenants in using vital equipment and tools
• Teaching individuals how to use appropriate exercise methods to enhance muscle strength and promote better functioning
• Upholding the credibility of the housing agency by safeguarding resident privacy
• Organizations must stay up to date with any changes to laws and regulations by regularly monitoring governmental websites and publications
• Playing an integral part in reaching team milestones and targets

Licensed Physical Therapist Requirements Include:

• An accomplished graduate of an accredited Licensed Physical Therapist Program
• The license for the New Jersey State Licensed Physical Therapist is still up-to-date
• The ideal candidate would have previous experience in providing care in a long-term-care facility
