Physiotherapist Duties Include:

• Contributing to the Therapy team in alignment with a PT’s direction
• Monitoring and documenting residents' physical function and mobility is necessary to provide the best possible care and support for their overall health and wellness
• Observing residents and writing progress reports
• Assisting individuals in conducting targeted physical exercises
• An assortment of treatment techniques will be employed to aid in residents' recovery, including exercises designed to improve their balance and gait
• Supporting individuals in the proficient use of crucial machinery and technologies
• Educating individuals on beneficial exercises that can promote muscle strength and improve physical functions
• Demonstrating respect and responsibility for resident confidentiality to maintain their trust in the housing agency
• Companies must seek legal expertise to help them navigate the complexities of the regulatory environment and meet legal requirements
• Working cohesively with the team to attain common objectives and goals

Physiotherapist Requirements Include:

• A well-prepared individual who has completed all requirements of an accredited Physiotherapist Program
• The current license for the New Jersey State Physiotherapist is still active
• The ideal candidate would have previous experience in providing care in a long-term-care facility
