PTA Duties Include:

• Functioning as a member of the Therapy team with a PT as a guide
• Keeping track of residents' strength, agility, and overall movement is crucial for identifying and addressing any impairments that may arise over time
• Taking the time to write thorough progress reports will provide valuable insights for colleagues and administrators. Documentation will also ensure that the needs of each resident are adequately addressed and prevent variations in care provided between different shifts or personnel
• Assisting seniors in completing defined exercise routines
• A mixture of therapeutic techniques will be employed, including balance and gait exercises, to assist with resident's rehabilitation
• Supporting individuals in utilizing crucial machinery and gadgets
• Educating individuals on effective exercise approaches that can strengthen muscles and boost physical performance
• Ensuring the confidentiality of resident data and information to foster confidence in the community
• Organizations must stay up to date with any changes to laws and regulations by regularly monitoring governmental websites and publications
• Supporting the team's efforts and working towards shared goals

PTA Requirements Include:

• An individual who has graduated from a PTA Program that meets accredited standards
• There are no changes to the current New Jersey State PTA license
• Successful candidates will have previous work history in long-term-care facilities
