Frontline Retail Associate

Job Description:

Demonstrates and delivers a distinct and pleasant customer experience. Processes transactions using assigned cash register, provides patrons with courteous, fair, amiable, and efficient cashier service.

Roles and Duties:

• Provides a welcoming atmosphere for customers and patients, offering assistance and guidance on available products and services to address any issues or queries effectively.
• Demonstrates and promotes customer service excellence by sharing best practices with team members to ensure a memorable and positive customer experience, including interpersonal manners such as greetings, eye contact, politeness, and Walgreens service principles like proactively offering assistance, identifying needs, and ensuring satisfaction.
• - Ensures clients receive quick and respectful service that is efficient.
• Offering suggestions on potential purchases and recommending trade-in or companion items to customers.
• Accurately registers customer purchases on the designated cash register, manages cash transactions, and issues change as required. Handles voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges when necessary.
• Maintains the cleanliness and appealing display of counters and shelves, manages inventory control, and updates records systematically. Receives and labels items per the instructions of the store manager or as communicated by the shift leader.
• Enacts procedures to ensure the identification and mitigation of profit loss through asset protection.
• Ensures that state and local ordinances concerning regulated goods like alcohol and tobacco are followed accordingly.
• Undertakes the assembly and maintenance of displays, encompassing promotional materials, seasonal setups, large structures, and items for sale. Executes resets and changes as instructed.
• Assists in maintaining product quality by rotating stock using the first in, first out strategy and promptly restocking any depleted items.
• Has a good understanding of how to use store systems and equipment.
• Supports customers in the photography department through services like digital passport pictures, poster printing utilizing a creative machine, and suggestive selling of promotional photo merchandise.
• Assumes responsibility for overseeing online pickups, monitoring orders within Picture Care Plus, filling orders by selecting items, and distributing orders to customers when they come to the store.
• Assists in preserving the store's cleanliness and orderliness by helping with exterior and interior maintenance work.
• Follows all organizational policies and procedures; upholds amicable connections with coworkers.
• Executes unique tasks and other assignments as designated.

Training:

• Attends training programs and completes necessary PPLs as instructed by the Manager or specified by corporate guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Mastery of the English language, involving skills in reading, writing, and speaking, is mandatory
• Being open to working flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, is a requirement for the role
• Six months of experience in a retail setting is highly desired.
• Candidates who have worked at Walgreens before are more favored.
• Wish to attain proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking, while excluding Puerto Rico
• Flexibility in scheduling, particularly being available for evening and weekend shifts, is a key requirement.
• Having a criminal record will not be a barrier to being considered for a position with our company.
