In-Store Experience Associate

Job Description:

Displays and provides a unique and enjoyable customer service experience. Registers purchases on designated cash register, serves customers polite, fair, friendly, and prompt checkout service.

Roles and Duties:

• Creates a welcoming environment for customers and patients, engaging with them to offer assistance and information on products and services, ensuring a positive interaction and resolving any customer concerns efficiently.
• Leads by example in modeling and sharing effective customer service techniques with all team members to deliver a unique and enjoyable customer service experience, covering interpersonal behaviors such as greetings, maintaining eye contact, showing courtesy, and following Walgreens' service traits like proactive assistance, identifying customer needs, and servicing until customer needs are fulfilled.
• - Delivers customer service that is kind, affable, rapid, and proficient.
• Offering advice to customers on suitable purchase options and proposing related or upgraded items.
• Accurately registers customer purchases on the designated cash register, manages cash transactions, and issues change as required. Handles voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges when necessary.
• Ensures counters and shelves are clean and properly organized, conducts inventory checks, and maintains detailed records. Tags and prices products in accordance with the store manager's instructions or guidance from the shift leader.
• Executes strategies for preserving company resources to mitigate potential revenue decreases.
• Ensures that all requirements outlined in state and local legislation for regulated products, such as alcohol and tobacco, are met.
• Builds and maintains an assortment of displays, spanning from promotional and seasonal setups to super structures and items for sale. Carries out resets and revisions as directed.
• Aids in the separation of food items by differentiating between raw and pre-cooked items and arranging them according to company protocols, including the placement of frozen meats on lower shelves.
• Shows proficiency in using store systems and equipment.
• Provides customer care in the photo department, which includes digital passport photo assistance, poster printing using a creative machine, and recommending promotional photo items.
• Assumes responsibility for overseeing online pickups, monitoring orders within Picture Care Plus, filling orders by selecting items, and distributing orders to customers when they come to the store.
• Ensures the store's exterior and interior are well-maintained to uphold a neat and organized appearance.
• Abides by all corporate regulations and protocols; cultivates harmonious relationships with team members.
• Accomplishes special projects and other designated duties.

Training:

• Participates in training initiatives and fulfills PPLs requested by the Manager or specified by corporate directives.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in English, which includes reading, writing, and verbal communication, is necessary
• A flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends is part of the job requirements
• A retail environment background of six months is required.
• Having prior experience working at Walgreens is advantageous for applicants.
• Aim to be adept in English reading, writing, and speaking abilities, but not in Puerto Rico
• Flexibility in scheduling, particularly being available for evening and weekend shifts, is a key requirement.
