Centers Health Care is seeking a skilled and dedicated Operating Room LPN to join our team! In this crucial role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical suites, contributing directly to the success of surgical procedures and patient care.

Key Responsibilities of LPN:

• Collaborate with surgeons, registered nurses (RNs), and other healthcare professionals to prepare the operating room (OR) for each surgical procedure.
• Ensure a sterile environment by maintaining aseptic technique and following infection control protocols.
• Stock and organize surgical supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is readily available during procedures.
• Assist surgeons and RNs during surgery by providing sterile instruments and supplies as needed.
• Monitor patient vital signs throughout surgery and report any changes to the surgical team.
• Assist with patient positioning and transfer to and from the operating table.
• Provide emotional support and comfort to patients before, during, and after surgery (as appropriate).
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the OR.

Requirements for LPN:

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and a current LPN license in the state of practice.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a surgical environment (a plus).
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique and sterile procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the surgical team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while also following instructions effectively.
• Ability to lift and move moderate weight.
