Guest Service Associate

Job Description:

Displays and executes a unique and satisfying customer service encounter. Completes transactions via assigned cash register, serves clients with polite, equitable, amicable, and speedy cashier service.

Roles and Duties:

• Greet and aid customers and patients to facilitate interaction and guidance on product selections and services offered. Resolves customer issues promptly to guarantee a positive customer experience.
• Acts as a model and promoter in demonstrating and sharing optimal customer service methods with all team members to ensure a distinctive and delightful customer experience, incorporating interpersonal habits like greetings, eye contact, courtesy, and Walgreens service traits such as offering proactive help, identifying needs, and servicing until customer satisfaction is achieved.
• - Guarantees courteous, amiable, rapid, and proficient service for clients.
• Guiding clients on preferred merchandise options and advising on potential trade-in or supplementary products.
• Utilizes the specified cash register to record customer purchases, manages cash exchanges, and provides necessary change. Processes voided transactions, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges when required.
• Responsible for ensuring cleanliness and well-organized presentation of counters and shelves, conducts inventory checks, and maintains records efficiently. Tags and prices merchandise following the store manager's guidelines or instructions from the shift leader.
• Deploys asset protection procedures to recognize and mitigate potential financial setbacks.
• Ensures that compliance with state and local statutes governing products like alcoholic beverages and tobacco is maintained.
• Constructs and preserves displays, such as promotional, seasonal, super structures, and merchandise for sale. Executes resets and revisions according to provided guidance.
• Provides support in organizing food items by separating them based on whether they are raw or pre-cooked and arranging them according to established rules, such as storing frozen meats in lower shelf positions.
• Displays adeptness with store systems and equipment.
• Assists customers with photo-related needs like digital passport photo processing, poster printing using a creative machine, and recommending promotional photo merchandise.
• Handles web-based pickup responsibilities, monitors orders processed in Picture Care Plus, fulfills orders by selecting items, and hands over orders to customers when they arrive at the store.
• Works towards maintaining the store's neat and orderly condition by supporting with exterior and interior maintenance tasks.
• Compliant with all corporate policies and procedures; upholds courteous relationships with coworkers.
• Performs distinctive projects and any other delegated responsibilities.

Training:

• Attends and successfully completes training sessions and PPLs as required by the Manager or designated by the corporate office.

Qualifications:

• Capability in English reading, writing, and oral expression is required
• This role calls for a willingness to work outside regular hours, which may include evenings and weekends
• Applicants should have a minimum of six months of retail experience.
• Applicants with a background in Walgreens employment are prioritized.
• Opt for being fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking, other than in Puerto Rico
• Applicants must be open to working flexible hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
